The quad-core smartphone line-up will gain further participation with more brands eyeing the affordable Android phone segment with high-end hardware. While Karbonn and Micromax may hold the forte for launching their quad-core based phone at sub Rs 15,000 price point, more and more companies are looking to grab the swords and fight it off with the India-based mobile brands.
This will be first in the company’s Q-series lineup with quad-core processor. Xolo as we all know is marketed by Lava has already launched Xolo A1000, Xolo A700, Xolo A800, Xolo A500, Xolo X500 and Xolo X900 in Indian market. The phone dubbed as Xolo Q800 will be Xolo’s first ever high-end hardware based Android smartphone under the similar sub Rs 13,000 price range.
XOLO Q800 features single SIM connectivity, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, 2100 mAh battery, 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
You can further expand the storage with the help of micro SD card slot. The smartphone will come with 2100 mAh battery and the usual set of connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Xolo Q800 is likely to compete with Karbonn S1 Titanium and Micromax Canvas HD A116.
As per the information available to us, Xolo has plans to launch as many as 4 competitively priced quad-core smartphones by the end of April. Looks like the Micromax Canvas HD is going to have a lot of competition soon.
