The Indian smartphone market is flooded with local brands coming up with cheap phones which have decent specifications for a smooth everyday usage. Interestingly, there is a line-up of Xolo smartphones by a company called Lava. Xolo smartphones initially featured Intel chipsets, which gave them the initial publicity they needed. In fact, a Xolo smartphone was the first to sport an Intel SoC on a smartphone. Then they just started going with the flow by introducing the MT6589 quad-core chip and the dual-core MediaTek chips in their phones.
Now, Xolo has become the first local brand to sport a NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC on a smartphone. The chip currently powers devices like the Nexus 7 and HTC One X. The phone is not so costly, as it is priced at INR 16,999 (which is a lot less than what the HTC One X retails at). Here go the specs:
I believe this phone will stand out in the sub-20K market which is dominated by local brands like Micromax, Karbonn, Lava (Xolo), etc.
What do you think about this one? Will it blend?
