Sony has launched the newly announced Xperia C5 Ultra Dual in India, priced at Rs. 29,990. Targeted at selfie lovers, the smartphone will be available from Wednesday in Black, White, and Glossy Soft Mint color variants. Sony has not launched the single-SIM variant in the country.
Redesigned for aesthetic perfection, the Xperia C5 Ultra offers a beautifully crafted body, slim design and a superior hardware to meet young minded consumer’s style quotient, claims the company.
It sports a 6-inch Full HD (1080p) screen with the company’s Bravia Engine 2 technology and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752 chipset with 2GB RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB of built-in storage and supports microSD cards of up to 200GB capacity. The Xperia C5 Ultra runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
The Xperia C5 Ultra features enhanced camera functions with twin 13-megapixel front and rear cameras. Both cameras include Sony’s leading Exmor RS sensor, HDR for picture and video, and an easy to use preset Auto scene recognition mode.
Some of the camera tools on the Xperia C5 Ultra include video stabilizer, auto scene recognition, 25mm wide-angle lens (rear) with an 80-degree field of view, 4x digital zoom, full-HD video recording, image stabilizer, geo-tagging, and red-eye reduction among others.
Unlike Sony’s other mid-range and premium smartphones, the Xperia C5 Ultra doesn’t sport water and dust protection. Connectivity options on the handset include GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Glonass, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G LTE. It packs a 2930mAh battery; measures 164.2×79.6×8.2mm and weighs 187 grams.
