Expanding its metal series, Samsung on Tuesday launched Galaxy A8 smartphone in China that is claimed as company’s thinnest ever smartphone so far.
The 5.9-mm thin device sports a 5.7-inch full HD (1080x1920p) Super AMOLED display, the largest in the range.
The phablet is powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM.
It features a 16MP ISOCELL rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera similar to the Galaxy S6. The phone comes with a 3050mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. The Galaxy A8 also sports a fingerprint scanner integrated with the phone’s Home button.
Galaxy A8 network type is GSM, LTE, and HSPA. Its weight is 151g and it has a dual SIM space (Nano-SIM). The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
